I’m posting again even though I just did!
The new frame is the AURUM MAGMA.
It’s not the latest model—but that’s exactly what makes it special.
I’ve always been interested in AURUM, partly because I was a fan of Contador and Basso.
Thanks to a series of fortunate connections, I finally got my hands on one. Grateful!
I brought the frame to MAGNET (@magnet_ssc).
It matches the shop’s vibe perfectly—looks amazing.
I’m tempted to just leave it on display there forever (just kidding).
It’ll be a little while before the full build is ready, but I’m really looking forward to it!

After I ordered the frame, I was looking at other photos and noticed a spot on the down tube where the Di2 junction box could be embedded. I thought, “Nice, that’ll make things really clean!” But when I looked closely at the actual frame, it wasn’t there. Seriously? What a shock… I wonder why.
But then I realized—maybe it’s because the 12-speed Di2 doesn’t use a junction box anymore… That makes sense.
